NSC Results 2010

Ms Angie Motshega, Minister of Basic Education, announced the 2009 National Senior Certificate results from the Union Buildings in Pretoria on the 7th January.

ACESS congratulates the class of 2009, families, teachers and examiners. We are concerned with the drop in pass rate from 62.7% to 60.7%, which indicates weaknesses in the Education system.

ACESS supports the Minister in identifying the problem of poor teaching and the need to continue support to schools. The handling of the Mpumalanga irregularities is commendable. We are happy that learners in Mpumalanga have been able to receive their results with the rest of the country.
