FUNCTIONS

ACESS is mandated to:
• Recommend a comprehensive social security package, taking this forward through the Government’s social security reform process
• Collect and provide information to the public, ACESS members, and government on the social security needs and circumstances of children in South Africa
• Increase public awareness around issues of children’s social security
• Improve potential beneficiaries’ knowledge about children’s social security rights and redress
• Undertake advocacy and capacity building activities to achieve the Alliance’s objectives
