The Alliance for Children's Entitlement to Social Security is made up of over 1 200 children's sector organisations. ACESS members are committed to realising a comprehensive social security system, which ensures the survival of all our children and a standard of living adequate for their development.

Two specific objectives enable us to reach this goal:

• To ensure that all children who qualify for social security in terms of the current system, can access the grants and benefits to which they are entitled.
• To advocate for the transformation of the current system into a comprehensive social security system, which is made up of a package of cash grants, benefits and services.
